During his time at West Virginia, JT asserted himself as one of the top linebackers in the Big East, and gained notoriety on a national scale as he developed his game. Possessing uncanny football instincts and elite athleticism, JT was a three-year starter for the Mountaineers, earning All Big East first team honors for his senior campaign. During his career, he recorded an impressive 231 total tackles, 27 tackles-for-loss, 6 sacks, 2 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick. JT looks to carry the momentum from a strong 2010 season into the 2011 draft preparation season, and solidify his spot as one of the best linebackers in the 2011 NFL Draft Class.
